We are passionate about fostering inclusive workplaces that empower individuals to thrive and maximize their talents. Saori Imaizumi
FOUNDER and CEO
Saori is a founder and CEO of Bloom Human Capital Strategy, a consulting firm, which creates inclusive workplaces through people-centered approach. She has over 13 years of experience at the World Bank, where she worked across multiple countries in the education sector, focusing on skills assessment and development, capacity building, and institutional strengthening in the Africa and South Asia regions. She also spent four years at Accenture Japan, specializing in organizational effectiveness consulting and working with Fortune 500 companies to upskill their workforce and optimize organizational structures. At The Pokémon Company International, she worked on corporate strategy and gained a deeper understanding of diversity and inclusion efforts. Her experiences there underscored the importance of transforming organizations by first transforming the people within them, which led her to pursue a mindset course and adopt a people-first approach to organizational change.
Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Saori is passionate about bringing a unique Kosei personality assessment tool from Japan to a global audience. This tool helps individuals better understand themselves and others, fostering greater self-awareness and connection in both personal and professional environments.
She has a master’s degree in development economics and international business relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
Outside of her professional life, Saori is a dedicated mother of two young daughters, aged 4 and 2. She enjoys hiking, singing, and cooking with her family.

Fumie Kashihara
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Fumi was born and raised in Japan and began her career at Microsoft Japan. She later transitioned to the U.S. office, where she spent more than 20 years shaping her career. Fumi’s early work focused on software licensing and policy management, where she delivered training programs for Microsoft’s global offices. Her passion for working more closely with people led her to move into Human Resources, where she applied her strategic insights to recruiting marketing.
Driven by a commitment to fostering inclusive environments, Fumi took on the role of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Manager, working to transform Microsoft’s corporate culture from within. Her experience in global organizations and her dedication to people and culture have made her a key leader in promoting diversity and driving organizational change.
At Bloom Human Capital Strategy, Fumi develops and delivers training, consulting, and coaching alongside Saori, sharing her vast experience from Microsoft in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
When she’s not working, Fumi enjoys spending time with her 4-year-old daughter and Mexican husband in a trilingual environment that blends Japanese, Spanish, and English.

Yumiko Kuwana
RESEARCH ANALYST
Yumiko is a Research Analyst at Bloom Human Capital Strategy. With a strong background in business administration and HR, she has successfully led cross-functional teams through impactful corporate projects. Her expertise lies in conducting market research and competitive analysis, helping uncover insights that drive strategic decisions. In her previous role in Japan, Yumiko spearheaded diversity training programs focused on empowering women and onboarding new employees, gaining valuable experience in fostering inclusive work environments. She specializes in identifying emerging trends within the DEI and ESG sectors, leveraging data to support workplace innovation.
Yumiko holds a degree in International Communications, where she specialized in understanding critical communication strategies necessary in international business contexts. She also earned a Global Business Certificate with a concentration in localization and globalization marketing from the University of Washington. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new cultures and sampling international cuisine.
